Our first signed creator: inside the Rabitt Planet partnership

Rabitt Planet is Glowing Star’s first signed creator partnership. Yoo Da Young makes handmade soft-vinyl toys in Seoul, built around RABITT, an alien who looks a lot like a rabbit, named after the word Rabbit, misspelled during immigration to Earth.

We chose to sign this world first because it already travels. Her first art-toy crowdfunding project funded at 234 percent, and the work has been shown across KR, JP, TW, HK, TH and SG. That gives us something to work from rather than something to guess at.

What we take on is the business around the work: exhibitions, product and launch planning, e-commerce, storytelling, sourcing and production coordination, and the reporting that turns each show into the plan for the next one. The making stays entirely with the creator.

Collaboration apparel and accessories are in progress. Release dates and web pricing are TBC.
