Design Festa Vol. 63
Glowing Star brought Rabitt Planet into Design Festa, placing a character-toy creator inside a much broader independent art environment in Tokyo.
Rabitt Planet was the principal creator selected for the Glowing Star exhibition project.
The presentation crossed sofubi, character goods and more accessible formats rather than relying on a single collector product.
Design Festa allowed us to observe how the RABITT world reads to visitors who come for independent art, illustration, design and handmade work, not only art toys.
The setting
Design Festa is an international independent-art event at Tokyo Big Sight where creators can exhibit and sell original work across illustration, objects, fashion, performance, handmade goods and many other forms of expression.

Through Glowing Star's eyes
We deliberately wanted to take Rabitt Planet outside a specialist toy event. A character IP becomes more interesting when it can speak to people who did not arrive already looking for sofubi. Design Festa gave us a way to test whether the story, visual language and smaller entry products could open that door.
